Bloc Party – Two More Years (MSTRKRFT Remix)

Posted by Charlie Goodvibes on September 23rd, 2009

MSTRKRFT are truly masters of their…shit, that almost went awful. Okay…they’re really damn good artists, and they’re spectacular at remixes. I picked up the remix album and can’t really find a bad track on it (the remixes of Buck-65 are superb) but this one stands out.

I like Bloc Party. I basically bought Guitar Hero 3 because Helicopter was on it, and it’s pretty much my favourite song of all time. “Running on bravado” is not a lyric, it’s a lifestyle choice. But I digress.

Two More Years is also a solid song, and MSTRKRFT have only made it better. I’m a pretty big fan of the rock-remix, and this one does not disappoint. Give it a listen:

There are a few other rock-remixes that I’m going to post up, and some that go the other way. Stay tuned. I should start my own radio station…had one back in the Live365 hayday…does anyone still care about internet radio?

  1. Always happy to hear things twisted to the MSTRKRFT mindset.

I know, eh? The entire remix album is pure gold…I may have to share some more songs from it down the road.

A semi-regular updated blog about mashups, remixes, electronica, and other random music that I dance around my living room to. Also great for subway rides.
